Al l members of Morgantown Fire Department meet the West Virginia state requirements for firefighter. In addition to this, the city along with Local 313 entered into an agreement with the US Department of Labor, and all members are either enrolled or have completed the 6000 hour, US DOL requirements for certification as Journey Firefighters.

We are all first responder trained, with several members certified as EMT’s or Paramedic. We also have several certified divers, and specialists in vehicular, structural and heavy rescue. Training is coordinated by one Administrative Captain.
